BIOGRAPHY
Wilson Pickett was born in 1941 in Pratville, Alabama and was first with The Falcons. He recorded for Lupine, Double L, Verve then Atlantic. As a part of the agreement between Atlantic and Stax, he was allowed to record at the legendary Mc Lemore studio with The Mar-Keys. From these sessions, under the direction of Jerry Wexler and Tom Dowd came some of his most fabulous hits. Died January 19, 2006.
