BOOKER T.
& THE MG'S
BIOGRAPHY
Made of Booker T. Jones (organ, piano), Steve Cropper (guitar), Lewis Steinberg then Duck Dunn (bass guitar) and Al Jackson Jr (drums), plus Isaac Hayes (piano, organ) on some occasions, they were, along with the Mar-Keys' horns, the backbone of quite every Stax / Volt record in the 60's. Sadly, Al Jackson Jr died in 1975 and could never be replaced. They had numerous hits on their own and still live on through the Blues Brothers Band with Steve and Duck.
